Polar Plunge
The Special Olympics Polar Plunge is our biggest fund raiser of the year. Special Olympics Wisconsin hosts polar plunges throughout the state during the month of February. Greendale Special Olympics has raised over $9,000 in the last 2 years through the Polar Plunge fund-raiser. Greendale's agency receives 25% of the money raised. This money covers the cost of uniforms, equipment, and competition fees for athletes.
The 2016 Polar Plunge is Sunday February 28th, 2016 at the Milwaukee County Zoo. There are multiple ways to get involved with this fund raiser. You can make a donation to our team, sign up to take the plunge, or sign up as "too chicken to plunge". We also sell Polar Bears in our schools and local businesses. All of this money goes toward our final team fund raising total. Our fund raising goal for this year is $10,000.
